In this comforting tour you can find a magical destination to connect with the history, traditions and myths of African ancestors, while you can explore and discover cultural treasures, such as lime kilns built in colonial times to rise the fortifications and the walls of Cartagena.

TUARISBA offers an insurmountable opportunity to immerse yourself in a destination full of biodiversity, through canoe trips where you can enjoy observing the great variety of fauna and flora amidst the impressive mangrove ecosystem of the Cienaga de Coquitos, located in the community of Ararca, just 40 minutes from the Historical Center of Cartagena.

Nature and History ecotourism in Ararca: Live a rich cultural experience with TUARISBA

A journey along the ecological path “Tucu Tucu”, named for its stories of witchcraft and African traditions, where the sound of drums ("tucu-tucu") was often felt; after touring a spectacular landscape full of biodiversity, ancestral stories and myths, we arrive at the beautiful beach of Coquitos, where we can appreciate the historical and cultural element that the ruins of the lime stone kiln provide; the experience culminates by the sea, a few steps from these historic ruins, in a quiet and paradisiacal place where you can disconnect for a while from your daily activities and breathe the fresh air of the bay.
