Cycling through Mountains, Flowers and Dam

Medellín, Colombia’s second largest city, is located in a valley. Its surrounding areas, characterized by perfect roads, pictures que villages, and hundreds of cyclists on the weekends, provide for unique road cycling routes. We will stay 45 kilometers outside of the city (Medellín) to cycle at 2,300 meters (8,202 feet) above sea level, where you’ll experience short 5 kilometer climbs, intermediate 8 kilometer climbs and longer climbs of up to 37 kilometers!

Several hydroelectric plants that are found in this region produce much of the country’s energy. You’ll also see unique landscapes where smaller mountains appear to be islands in an area that is almost entirely covered in water!
