Cycling in Historical and Colonial Towns
Their quaint villages, cobbled streets, and colonial architecture characterize Santa Fe and its surrounding areas. Some of the many attractions you’ll find here include the first Church of Antioquia, the world’s seventh longest (and Latin America’s longest) suspension bridge, and the very important Cauca River, among others.
Starting at a lower altitude (~600 meters above sea level), we will wind our way up, down, and around some of Antioquia’s most historically important areas.
Our first ride will take us through la Cordilleras de los Andes where we will climb up to 2,800 meters above sea level.
We will then pass through some beautiful colonial towns and the suspension bridge before we climb 23+ kilometers to view the Cauca River.
Please note that the pavement here is generally in good condition, but there are some rough patches. We recommended tires between 25 to 28 mm. Our mechanics will be near to help should the need arise!
