Plaza de San Diego (San Diego Square)

It is located within the Historical Center of Cartagena, in the San Diego sector. In the past, it was a place of slave auction, but today it is a quiet place, surrounded by restaurants and the old San Diego cloister, now converted into an educational institution.

It is one of the busiest squares in the city, where locals and tourists enjoy the gastronomic offerings and the presentations of different urban artists.

In this place, the colonial balconies that surround it steal the show, as well as the monument in honor to the local composer, Adolfo Mejía.
