Church of San Pedro Claver
The Church of San Pedro Claver was built at the beginning of the XVII century by the Jesuits. Formerly called St. Ignatius of Loyola, the church receives its name from San Pedro Claver, a missionary and priest who fought, defended and protected the slaves and their rights. The church has an archaeological museum and the remains of the saint are in a glass urn, under the main altar.
During Holy Week, the church offers an agenda of religious activities for tourists and locals.
