Bogota-born and Colombian-army-trained, young chef Alejandro Ramírez came back from years of cooking with Daniel Boulud and working in restaurants in New York, London, France and Tokyo to open María last fall.
The dining room itself is reason enough to visit, with groovy white chandeliers festooned with pineapples, and trippy tiger murals on the walls, but Ramírez’s cooking lives up to his résumé. This is a real treat!
