VII Congreso Latinoamericano de Ciudades Turísticas

The congress will be an area of ​​inclusion where the different cultures of Latin American people can be found and recognized from identity and tradition.

On October 25th, 26th and 27th, 2017, the meeting of Latin American Tourist Cities will be held at the Convention Center of Cartagena De Indias in its VII version, in which social practices of the cities surrounding the construction of peace from tourism.

THEMATIC LINES

It will address different thematic lines ranging from Productive Inclusion as a strategy to develop projects, through the creation of wealth and the maintenance of the prosperity of the territory through Economic Development to the different types of tourism such as the Community that consists in the revaluation of cultural resources, Ecological as a tourist alternative, the Cultural Tourism as the main objective to highlight the cultural aspects of populations; the promotion of rural areas through Rural Tourism and highlight culinary traditions through the Gastronomic Tourism. All this without leaving aside the preservation of Heritage in Tourism.

Colombia as one of the countries with the greatest attraction of travelers in Latin America and the city of Cartagena de Indias as one of the main tourist destinations of the nation, has all the components to become the showcase not only of its own attractions but of it all cities and municipalities around the whole of Colombia, so that their projects, attractions and tourist offers have greater visibility and promotion at international level.

The VII Latin American Congress of Tourist Cities will be attended by Fernando Griffith, Minister of Culture of Paraguay; Marcela Bacigalupo, Minister of Tourism of Paraguay; Bartolomé Campana Binasco, President of the Tourism and Gastronomy Guild of the Chamber of Commerce of Lima, Peru; Rogers Valencia, Vice Minister of Tourism of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) of Peru; Celeste Encina, cultural attaché and counselor of the Paraguayan embassy; Barbara Degani, Deputy Minister of Environment of Italy; In addition to the presidents of the Regional Chamber of Tourism of Peru (CARETUR) and the Association of Tourism Guilds Nor Amazonian (AGRENAT).
