Between
Thursday the 12th and Saturday the 14th of December,
the Sonidero Festival Vol. 3 will be held at the Training Center for Spanish Cooperation in Cartagena de Indias.
The Line Up of the event will be attended by the composer and trumpeter from Cartagena, El
León Pardo, who will present a proposal that includes bagpipe sounds and instrumental music. In addition,
Mondol Dj will be on stage with a mix of Afro-Caribbean music.
The Sonidero Festival is a cultural event created with the intention of promoting alternative and varied music by local and national artists.

About the featured artists
El León Pardo
Composer and
trumpeter from Cartagena with a strong influence of bagpipes and instrumental music. The León Pardo (Brown Lion) was born in 2013 with the desire to express its own sounds and strong melodies that capture the essence of a trumpet full of magic and life.
Mondol Dj
Aroldo Mondol Quintana is a social communicator, researcher and cultural manager. He currently works as an
Afro-Caribbean music disc jockey. He started as a DJ in 2006 after collecting records of different African sounds, and Champeta rhythms that were hosted in the Colombian Caribbean Coast during the 80s and 90s. He is also the founder of the Champeta en Pasta project, an initiative that seeks to preserve the first champeta works that were recorded in vinyl format.
