IV Fair performing arts caribbean

“The Caribbean is also Pacific” , seeking to highlight the deep connection that these two regions of the country and the continent remain together.

This year the festival features the presence of groups and artists from places as seemingly distant and unknown to us, such as Indonesia and Japan and other so close and so our as Cali, Guapi , Timbiquí and Pretoria .

Thus, the festival is expected to consolidate in its fourth version as a space for reflection on the traditions , struggles and shared strengths , fostering dialogues on wagers of peace and building country, where culture is the vehicle and respect for difference and social inclusion are the roads.

This festival will continue the policies of previous years , allowing access from all sectors of society , making culture and its implications a public issue , discussed a broad , participatory and democratic manner. In this sense and with the support of the governments of Atlantico and Bolivar , from 2013 , the festival has been extended to other municipalities in the Caribbean , enabling vulnerable populations who are unable to travel to Cartagena access much of programming. In 2014 , it is expected to repeat this experience in the municipalities of San Juan Nepomuceno , San Jacinto and Santa Rosa del Sur in Bolívar and Barranquilla , Atlántico .
