The
FAREX Fair was created in 2000 to promote and highlight the
Colombian culture through the display of
handicraft products made by indigenous, Afro-Colombian, rural, urban, traditional and contemporary artists and craftsmen, in order to provide the opening of markets and create business opportunities.
FAREX objectives
- Promote the conduct of business in the sector that directly benefits artisans and primary producers.
- Promote the professionalization and empowerment of artisans, teachers, designers, artists, indigenous communities, Afro-descendants and Colombian farmers as bearers and makers of our cultural heritage.
- Open local, national and international markets.
- Promote a pleasant and profitable experience between exhibitors and visitors.
- Boost the talent of Colombian artisans who represent the culture and tradition of our country.
- Support crafts that benefit social inclusion.
- Promote creativity and innovation in different artisanal and artistic fields.
FAREX Special Edition 20 years
From January 3 to 12, 2020, this special version of the event will be held at the
Julio Cesar Turbay Ayala Convention Center in Cartagena. It begins on December 3 and starts at 6:30 p.m. Between December 4 and 12,
attendees can visit the fair from 12:00 m. until 10:00 p.m.
