From November 20 to December 20, 2019
, the Museum of Modern Art of Cartagena
will have the exhibition of the Plastic Artist Nelly del Río
"Everything I do is intended to create. In our essence you can find the purest of creativity, you just have to find it. I have been developing this gift until now, thanks to my architecture studies that gave me the basis to take the decision to become a painter as a life project. This daily discipline gives me a mature formation in which I get rid of academics, perspective and reality

The artist also talks about the relationship with her artistic creations, and her way of working with painting: "I make use of daring and gestures all the time I work in my pictorial work. During that time, I am slowly making strokes that they form relevant spots, of a lot of color, contrasts, harmony, and, above all, a lot of lighting that give it a mysterious touch. With that great background of color, I am giving another dimension, superimposing lines that link those spots, calligraphies that dictate a message to me, clippings of everyday events and grit where I give it a great strength, and from there, a story is born. A desired story, where at the end I integrate the human figure as the protagonist, with its daily realities, lived experiences and, why not, its dreams. I definitely want the viewer to enjoy and continue with this creative game and interpret this message of emotional content
The invitation is so that for a whole month, the audience can enjoy and appreciate the extraordinary strokes and creative presentation in the works of the Artist Nelly del Río in the facilities of the Museum of Modern Art of Cartagena (Museo de Arte Moderno de Cartagena)
