Cartagena de Indias dresses up for Christmas 2018

Lights of different colors that decorate the monuments and the houses facades. A large tourist concurrence looking for an unforgettable experience in Cartagena de Indias. Songs that when listening to them invade with nostalgia. And a fresh wind that runs freely through every street of this city. All of these are signs that tell December is approaching, and with it, all the magic of Christmas.

About 4 million LED lights (which save energy) will integrate the 80 kilometers of the Christmas lighting route of Cartagena, in a joint effort between the City Hall and the private sector.

In Cartagena this time of the year is lived in a unique way, always with the characteristic joy of the Caribbean, and more and more people wanting to spend these dates in such a special place full of life.

In this opportunity there will be interactive installations with music and lights show at the Plaza de la Aduana, where a 40-meter tunnel will be placed. Similarly, the Parque de la Marina will be garnished with an interactive plane, on the Bay of Cartagena there will be a floating tree with colored lights effect, and there also will be a curtain of interactive lights at the Camellón de los Mártires. In addition, different places of the Historical Center will be illuminated, making it a mandatory visit site for locals and tourists.

The Historical Center of Cartagena will become an excellent choice to enjoy the last month of the year. The lights that will garnish it, in the shapes of reindeer, snowmen, stars, among others, guarantee a show that even though contrasts with the old look of the colonial buildings, it achieves a fascinating mixture.
