Fort San Fernando de Bocachica

The Fort of San Fernando is located on the island of Tierra Bomba in the town of Bocachica. He along with the Fort St. Joseph combined forces to protect the sole maritime gateway to the city.

One of the secrets of this fort served as a prison is that due to its difficult access and secure location.

The plant of Fort resembles a "horseshoe" and is surrounded by a wet moat. In the main square there is a ramp to the upper platform.

The interior spaces are pointed vaults where they worked the chapel, the hospital, the powder magazine, Dome artillery officer, the grocery store, cooking and headquarters officials. It also highlights the circular booth "secret staircase" neoclassical façade and stone pier.
